( Howard County Tourism are located near parking lot d - stop by to pick up brochures on the town, from attractions to go to see, where businesses are, sales, special events and so much more)

Most parking meters have a time limit of 2 hours, if you are lucky you may be able to park for free in Main Street itself. There are many spots to park and it doesn't take long to walk into town (I'd say 5 min's tops). We have our own ticket
enforcement people on the roam during the day, so to avoid a bad experience, abide by the parking rules.

No parking or stopping areas, are clearly marked with a red curb, and don't park in loading zones, which are again clearly marked. Time limits are indicated with signs and parking meters are run seven days a week, and are coin operated. At the rear of the post office (lot d) the parking is free but the parking spots near to Main Street are metered (the orange coin operated dispensers help) and the ticket must be displayed on your dashboard.

Driving Directions to Historic Ellicott City, MD

Towson
Take 695 west to Frederick road, take Frederick west for approx. 5 miles, you enter
Ellicott City going over the Patapsco River and under the railroad bridge. (look for the B & O Railway on your left)

Washington
Take 95 north to 100 west to 29 north, stay in right lane and take route 40 east, at first light
make a right onto Rogers avenue, after the court house take a right onto Ellicott Mills Drive, continue until you
come to Main Street Historic Ellicott City, turn left at the lights for down town.
(if you take the left turn before you get to Main Street, there is parking there.)

Glen Burnie
Take 100 west to 29 north, stay in right lane and take route 40 east, at first light make a right onto
Rogers avenue, after the court house take a right onto Ellicott Mills Drive, continue until you come to Main Street Historic Ellicott City, turn left at the lights for down town.

Frederick
Take 70 east to 29 south, take second exit for route 40 east, at second light make a right onto
Rogers Avenue, after the court house take a right onto Ellicott Mills Drive, continue until you come to Main Street Historic Ellicott City, turn left at the lights for down town.
