Pastor and Mrs. Simpson, with 7 week old Matthew, moved from Miami, Florida to Columbia, Maryland in April 1976
to found Harvester Baptist Church. The first service was May 9, 1976 and the church was officially organized on September 12, 1976. Land for the present site was purchased in September 1979, with the first building constructed in 1984. The second building was constructed in 1989. The third addition was built in 2001.
The Lord has truly blessed Harvester Baptist Church!
